Savannah!

We recently traveled to Savannah, Georgia to make a short visit with family.  My cousin, Emily, and her husband John hosted us for the weekend, the same weekend as the Rock N Roll Marathon...yikes!  Poor John, a police homicide investigator, was on call the whole weekend and had to work during the Marathon.  He was completly sleep deprived, yet selflessly entertained.
Avery, Amelia, and Audrey enjoyed the little get away.  They especially enjoyed Maddie the dog, the real baby at the Puhala household.
During our weekend we were also able to visit Aunt Pat!  She gave us a tour of her new house, prepared a tasty picnic, and showed us around the charming town of Bluffton.
Visiting family is always treat!

The original plan, Mom as Ursula, rejected by Audrey.  Plan B, mom went with A League of Their Own.

Audrey showed me her candy after every stop.

This is the first year Avery stayed with the group and wasn't ten houses ahead of us.

Audrey and Grady carpool to pre-school.  Grady is a nice boy.  Audrey is just not into boys.

Avery, Amelia, and Audrey spent a lot of time sorting and trading their loot, before sampling their loot.

Fall Fun!

This is the beginning of the cool season in Mississippi and although wearing shorts is an everyday option, we do have our fair share of beautiful fall days.  We recently attended the first family event at Audrey's Montessori school, The Fall Festival.  Amelia was excited to attend and see some of her old Montessori friends.  Many students still remembered Amelia and a couple of the younger students eagerly asked Amelia to come and play.  She had a permanent smile on her face during the entire event. Audrey hasn't decided whether she likes school or not and was thrilled to hang out with Avery and Amelia, along with mom, while partaking in carefully selected activities.  It's a given that Avery will indulge in every offering at anything that involves the word "party," "festival," or "carnival."  Keeping tabs on him is a challenge.  He did magically appear before my eyes on very random occasions, bringing me his favorite food samples.  He is a foodie!
