Aggie Rose at 9+ months.

At 9 months Aggie is scooting on her buns, on all fours, rocking back and forth, but in true Dieckman style, just like her siblings, not crawling.  She really wants to crawl but just can't put it all together.  She has started to eat some table foods, in addition to my baby food, and raspberries are one of her favorites.  Strangely, she also enjoys sucking on limes and lemons, which is always a good distractor when I'm trying to make dinner.  She continues to like books, but now insists on turning the pages of her favorite reads.  "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See" is always her "go to" book before bedtime.  Can't wait to see what the next couple of months hold for this little lady.

My little Aggie Rose at 8+ months!  

Aggie likes her baths, loves to play with toys in the water, enjoys time with her siblings, and is a good eater.  She is really starting to enjoy her exersaucer and can be very loud.  Aggie takes 2 naps a day and sleeps from 7 to 7 without much fuss.  For the most part she is happy, but when she is cranky she is so loud that it feels like she is yelling.  In the mornings she loves it when we all sit on the floor and do our school work while she plays with her toys.  She truly enjoys being in the mix and notices when her siblings are gone.  Love this little girl!

Pumpkin Patch 2017 - Anderson Farms

Over our fall break we decided to start hitting some of our Colorado "bucket list" items.  One of these items was a trip to Anderson Farms.  I always enjoy a good pumpkin patch and am constantly on the look out for something comparable to Vala's pumpkin patch in Nebraska.  Anderson Farms is the closest we have come in our military travels, but Vala's still wins out.  Regardless, we had fun getting lost in the corn maze, riding the rides, stuffing our faces with fall treats, and picking out the perfect pumpkins.  

This year Shane and I really took notice as to how big Avery and Amelia are getting.  For one thing Amelia looked like a long legged giant on the pedal carts and was lapped endlessly by kids half her age.  Secondly, Avery commented that picking out pumpkins was his favorite part of a pumpkin patch trip and not the other "stuff" - and Amelia agreed.  In fact, picking out pumpkins is also my favorite part, but it used to be the other "stuff" that the kids liked doing.  With that being said, Avery reassured me he still likes picking out treats, a classic hayrack ride, and a good maze.  However, I feel we are venturing towards a more "Charlie Brown" halloween, where vintage is the overwhelming theme.  I see haunted houses in our future!

Laser Tag - Avery's Birthday Party

For Avery's birthday party we headed to the Air Force Academy laser tag course.  The course is located in a large wooded area and perfect for tween boys to live out their G.I. Joe fantasies.  Each boy was geared up with, what we were told, $1000 laser tag guns, and  sent off to base camp for several rounds of laser tag fun.  We played into the dark and ended when only one man was standing.  It was fun!!!  

 The day of Avery's birthday party was a super busy day!  In addition to laser tag we also saw a showing of "Frozen" at the Denver Center for Preforming Arts.  The show was amazing!!!
