Meeting Grandma

During our 4th of July trip back to Nebraska we were able to make a pit stop at grandma's new place and introduce her to Aggie.  Grandma is a natural with babies!  This is Grandma's 14th great-grand baby.

Aggie's 6 months!

Aggie turned 6 months the end of June.  She started solids.  She eats egg yolk with liver for breakfast, and either lamb or buffalo mixed with bone broth for lunch and dinner.  Because meat has a distinct texture we weren't sure how this food source would be received; lucky for us she loves her proteins.  After a very messy start to solids, using a spoon, we decided to try a syringe, and this has been our gold ticket to fattening our little peanut up.  We made a 5.7 month visit to the doctor only to find out Aggie is in the 0% for weight, and although a tiny baby, needed some extra fat in her diet.  We are happy to report that after feeding her solids for 3 weeks she has gained 1 lb!

At month 6 she has really figured out how to roll both ways to her advantage; enjoys playing with a crinkling cloth, a silicone ice-cream cone, and a couple of silicone rings.  We have also started reading books and signing at the same time.  She has also found her voice and can be very vocal when frustrated.  Things are really starting to get fun!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to a super dad and super husband. You are loved more than you know!

Audrey's Dance Recital

Audrey's dance recital was the beginning of June.  She attends a somewhat serious dance studio and enjoys ballet, but also confesses to liking contemporary dance as well.  She did a fantastic job at her recital and is a great student.  Unfortunately, the dance studio did not allow pictures or filming during the recital.  Additionally, because costumes were rented, and costumes were not allowed to go home prior to the recital, the only picture I have of her in her costume was before the performance:(

Aggie's 5 months

This little lady turned 5 months the end of May!  She is such a delight!  She smiles, looks you in the eye, is curious, loves her feet, gets stuck when rolling over, and is a tiny peanut.
What a special girl!

Opa's Luau Birthday Bash

My parents came to town for Audrey's dance recital and we surprised Opa with a luau birthday party!  We decorated, made pina colada cakes, created a birthday feast, Audrey danced a luau dance, and the kids made gift certificate books as birthday presents for Opa.  The gift certificate books included things like...one free hung...help with the dishes...free massage.  Happy birthday Opa!

Aggie's Bapstim

Agatha Rose Dieckman was baptized on May 27th at 8:00 am in the morning.  She was baptized in Steamboat Springs, Colorado at Holy Name Catholic Church by Father Ernest Bayer.  We chose Holy Name Catholic Church in Steamboat Springs because we hope this is a place Aggie will grow up visiting and remembering.  She was a perfect angel during the ceremony!  Love you sweet girl!!!
